About Us

We are a locally owned physical therapy clinic in Metairie, Louisiana and have a strong wellness program which includes Pilates classes and private lessons.  Our owners, Lauren and Christy are both physical therapists and long-time friends.  Together, they opened Tandem PT in June 2018 and have seen consistent growth ever since.  Tandem PT believes in providing exceptional care and customer service to the people in our community so they can stay active and healthy throughout their life.  We have a unique model that allows us to deeply understand our patients and the problems they need solved.  This has allowed us to develop meaningful relationships and grow our practice largely through return patients, their friends and family.

We have an increased client and patient load and are looking for the right person to help us deliver an exceptional customer experience for our patients. This goes significantly beyond what is offered by most health care facilities and is key to our patient satisfaction and continued growth.

The right person is likely to have been working in a customer-facing environment and has a history of dealing with customers, answering questions on the phone and in person, and turning inquiries and leads into happy customers.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a busy front desk and waiting room experience, meeting and greeting our patients, answering the phone, converting inquiries into paying patients or clients and ensuring that all of our customers are looked after and made to feel welcomed whenever they enter your world.

Ultimately, your job is to help us grow the revenue of the clinic by booking in new patients who inquire about our services online, over the phone or in person and excelling at retaining those patients as lifelong customers of the business. You will do that by creating the type of customer service experience that people will be happy to pay for and just as happy to tell others about.

That’s Where You Come In:

We are looking for a Physical Therapist to work in our clinic in Metairie, LA.  We need someone who is comfortable working with active adults who are eager to stay active and healthy for a long time to come. Full time, part time and PRN positions are available.

  • Someone who is able to connect and engage with people on a personal level and not just on a clinical skill level

To Be Successful In This Position You Must:

  • Be licensed or eligible to obtain your Louisiana Physical Therapy License

  • Be passionate about physical therapy and helping people get back to the active life they love

  • A seasoned massage therapist who is well-versed in providing care for clients with orthopedic conditions who is looking for flexible hours while working remotely in a client’s home or office

Are you passionate about teaching Pilates – and looking for a studio you can call home where you get to just show up and do the thing you love most?

Join a team of Physical Therapists and Pilates Instructors who work together collaboratively – and learn things you weren’t taught in your traditional Pilates teacher-training certification.

That’s Where You Come In:

We are looking for a highly motivated, upbeat, and comprehensively certified Pilates Instructor to teach in-person – and join our team of Physical Therapists and Pilates Instructors in Metairie, LA. 

What We Are Looking For:

  • You’re comprehensively certified to teach Pilates – or have extensive experience teaching and practicing Pilates on the mat and with Reformer and Tower.

  • You have experience leading and teaching dynamic small group classes that are engaging and challenging for a range of levels.

  • You love teaching Pilates and you’re passionate about keeping up your own practice as well

  • You’re outgoing, positive, and energetic – and people love being around you

  • Growth is a priority for you and you can’t get enough of learning new things

  • You love people – and absolutely thrive on delivering a world class client experience

  • You enjoy working with awesome clients who are active and aged 40+

  • You’re a team player – and can leave your ego at the door.

To Be Successful In This Position You Must:

  • Teaching small group mat Pilates classes consisting of max 5 participants

  • Teaching Private Sessions utilizing our Reformer, Tower and mat exercises

  • Light cleaning, laundry (on-site), and maintenance of Pilates equipment/Apparatus

  • Keeping Pilates area organized, stocked, clean, and well-maintained

  • Keeping Pilates apparatus clean and well-maintained

  • Adhering to a schedule – this is not an independent contractor opportunity

  • Subbing for other instructors when needed.
