What Are You Searching For? 5th Anniversary Editorial

If you follow along with our emails, or social media you may know that June marks our fifth year as a small business. And each year around this time we like to have a little shindig to celebrate, so to help us get into party mode, I thought it would be fun to start with a few birthday jokes. OK, here we go…

Why Are Birthdays Good For Your Health?

…Studies have shown that people who have more birthdays actually live longer!

What Do You Call A Sick Birthday Cake?

…A coughee cake!

One more!!! How Do You Know When You’ Are Officially Old?

…It takes longer to rest than it did to get tired!

Those were some of Google’s finest! On a slightly more serious note, we have received a lot of messages and emails lately congratulating us on achieving 5 years. We want to take a moment in this newsletter to say, “thank you” to everyone who has reached out. It truly means the world to us to have your support. We sit down as a team each week and discuss any feedback we have received from patients and clients that could help us improve – and when we share your messages and words of encouragement with the team it lights up the room!

In these meetings we also talk a lot about how physical limitations can have emotional impacts on people. Physical pain that limits our abilities also makes us feel a certain way about ourselves in that moment. To serve our community better, it is important we understand this – that people are often searching for a FEELING – and help them on that level. The reason I mention this will become clear in a moment.

As small business owners, we have learned how much you rely on the support of your community, peers, and team. When you are the person “in charge”, It’s hard to know if you are making all the right decisions and there are plenty of days where situations and circumstances weigh heavily on your mind. When I enter the clinic each morning and see even one person enjoying their experience with us or hear the laughter of one of our team it affirms that something we are doing is right – and that FEELING is what I mean when I refer to “the support of our community, peers, and team”. Each of you provides me with the feeling I’m searching for, and for that I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
