As we step out of Mardi Gras season and into spring, there’s a natural shift in energy. The weather warms up, routines settle down, and many of us start paying a little more attention to how we’re feeling — where we’re strong, where we’re stiff, and what our bodies might be trying to tell us.
One of the biggest lessons we see year after year at Tandem is this: your body keeps score. Long periods of standing, walking on uneven terrain, late nights, travel, festive food, and skipped workouts all leave their mark. Sometimes it shows up as tight hips and backs, sometimes as numb or burning feet, sometimes as poor sleep or balance issues, and sometimes as that general sense of being “out of rhythm.”
The good news? Spring is an ideal time to course-correct — not through punishment or extremes, but through intelligent movement, recovery, and support.
This month, we’re focusing on simple shifts that help restore mobility, rebuild strength, and support healthy nerve function so you can move into spring feeling like yourself again. For some, that means getting back to Pilates or movement training. For others, it means finally getting answers about chronic numbness or burning in their feet. And for many, it just means building consistency and intentionality back into their daily routine.
To support that process, we’re hosting three experiences designed to meet people where they are:
- A Peripheral Neuropathy Workshop that explores why neuropathy happens, how it affects balance and mobility as we age, and what new treatment options exist beyond medication — including hands-on time with STIMPOD at no cost.
- A Post-Mardi Gras Pilates Bootcamp that blends mat Pilates, reformer Pilates, and restorative stretching to help recalibrate your body after a demanding season.
- And in March, our annual March MATness challenge — a free month-long online experience that delivers one Pilates exercise to your inbox every day to help you rebuild strength and consistency.
If you’ve been feeling stiff, unbalanced, disconnected from your core, or unsure how to get started, you’re not alone. Spring is a permission slip to begin again — and we’re here to help you do it with confidence, curiosity, and the right support.
