How To Put an End To Back Pain and stiffness - Without pain-killers and without risking surgery!
The number one most common problem that we help people with is low back pain. Back pain can be caused by arthritis, degenerative changes, bulging disc, scoliosis, and stenosis to name just a few.
“Why is This Happening to Me?” or “Why Am I Still Suffering With Back Pain After Putting Up With It For 6 Months (Maybe More)?"
Most people think that when they get Back Pain, it’s just going to go away on it’s own.
That they’ll wake up one morning and like “magic”, it’ll be as if back pain never happened… But then 6 months later you’re still living with back pain – often even worse than it was when it came on.
Does This Sound Like You?
Patients suffering with back problems often describe their pain as a nagging pain that’s either right across their low back or just localized to one side. This sometimes means that they can do most of what they want to do, but not in the way they want to do it, and they definitely suffer for it later.
So when should someone reach out to a physical therapist to help them with their back pain? If you’re tired of resting and missing out on life, or don’t want to rely on pills to get through yourday any longer, it’s time to reach out. You might even be looking to avoid surgery as it’s not the route you want to go down.
Ultimately, nothing else has worked for you in the way that you had hoped it would. This is where we step in.

Sessions generally last an hour, and they might include various hands-on techniques like massage, stretching or mobilizations to the joint, and will include tailored exercises for you to do at home to continue making progress in between sessions.
Tandem Physical Therapy can offer you a natural solution that’s long-term and really gives power back to you. We tell you exactly what to do so that you can help yourself at home and give you the confidence, knowledge, tools and power to fix the problem should it ever come back.
Patient Success Story
We’ve had many successful cases when it comes to treating back pain, but one in particular involves a gentleman who was sent to the clinic by his wife, who was also a patient of ours.
He had been told by a neurosurgeon that he needed to have surgery for his back pain, which was becoming very intense, and was radiating down his leg. He had tried physical therapy before, as well as epidurals but none of that had provided him with the relief he needed.
After much persuasion from his wife, who had been urging him to give physical therapy one last try before agreeing to having surgery, he came in to Tandem Physical Therapy.
We performed the initial assessment and then followed up with several weeks of physical therapy, and ultimately, he avoided surgery.
He was elated, as he believed that back surgery was inevitable for him and completely unavoidable, but now the back pain and the pain down his leg was gone, and about four months later he was back out on the golf course, playing 18 holes.
We see him every third month or so for tune-ups and maintenance, ensuring he is still on the right path, but we’re so pleased and proud to say that he is doing amazing, which brings the whole team here at Tandem Physical Therapy joy.
